Stoke Newington town hall was built in 1935-37 by the architect J.Reginald Truelove following an open competition held by the stoke Newington Metropolitan Borough Council. It has two very spacious areas perfect for weddings and parties.
The council chamber is a luxurious space with a lovely domed ceiling. Capacity – guests seated – 83. Thats 53 seated theatre-style in the chamber and 30 seated on pews on the balcony. With some guests standing in the chamber the council chamber can accommodate 100 guests all together. Prices start from £40 hourly rate.
The Assembly Hall is a huge, flexible space perfect for bigger weddings it has one of the largest mirror balls in Europe hanging from the ceiling. It has a kitchen for catering a bar, dressing rooms, cloakroom and also has a large stage which is all included in the hire fee. Capacity – guests seated 420 seated theatre-style (no tables) 300 people seated with tables. There is also a balcony which can seat an extra 94 people theatre-style.
