The historic building dates back to 1936 with some original features and overlooks onto a beautiful 30-acre lake in the heart of hackney. The Centre is a water sports centre but does have a number of rooms available to hire. The venue is an ideal place to hold seminars, training sessions, gatherings and weddings. The venues offers the best of both worlds with stunning and calming surroundings without having to go out of London as the venue is situated in Stoke Newington.

Monday-Friday, 5pm-Late or weekends = £140.00. £175.00 after 10pm

Seminar Room –
50 seated theatre style or 32 seated round tables. Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm =£47.00
Monday-Friday, 5pm-late or weekends = £53.00

Lecture Room –
50 seated theatre style or 32 seated round tables. Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm = £46.00
Monday-Friday 5pm-late or weekends = £53.00

Meeting Room –
10 seated at conderence table. Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm = £40.60
Monday-Friday 5pm-late or weekends = £47.00.

The council chamber is a luxurious space with a lovely domed ceiling. Capacity – guests seated – 83. Thats 53 seated theatre-style in the chamber and 30 seated on pews on the balcony. With some guests standing in the chamber the council chamber can accommodate 100 guests all together. Prices start from £40 hourly rate.

The Conway Hall is a beautiful venue for weddings in Central London. The Main Hall, with its elegant wood-panelled wall and wooden floor, makes the perfect venue for any vintage-style wedding.   The venue was opened in 1929, and the name was chosen in honour of Moncure Daniel Conway (1832–1907), an anti-slavery campaigner, a vociferous advocate of free thought, and a biographer of Thomas Paine.

Cineworld offer ideal spaces for a business meeting or conferences. Great for presentations due to there easy plug and play access. meaning at the click of a button you could present your presentation on the big screen. They have State of the art digital and 3D projection with surround sound, plug and play AV capability for Powerpoint, feature films and gaming. And for food, drinks and snacks all the Cineworld cinema’s have fully licensed Bar’s, tea, coffee and snacks onsite with freshly popped corn and soft drinks available. Built over 125 years ago, Toynbee Hall is a Grade II listed Arts and Crafts building and retains many of its original features. Situated within easy reach of the City, Liverpool Street Station and Aldgate East Underground Station, Toynbee Hall offers a convenient yet unique venue for a variety of events.

There are two halls available for hire, the Ashbee Hall and the Lecture Hall.

Lecture Hall: An elegant wood-panelled room complete with latticed windows with mullioned surrounds, wooden floor and a carved wood and marble fireplace.

Ashbee Hall: The Room is still decorated in the arts and crafts style. Latticed windows with mullioned surrounds, wooden flooring and a marble and wood fireplace all help to create a unique atmosphere in this historic room. There is also a grand piano in the Ashbee Hall that can be used with your hall booking.

The Council Chamber on the ground floor is the jewel in the crown. Fully restored to its Victorian glory, the original Vestry Hall for Shoreditch leads directly off the beautiful tiled entrance hall. With its stained glass windows, high ceilings and chandeliers, it offers a historic and photogenic setting for around 120 guests
The adjoining Mayor’s Parlour is a smaller, simpler room, with stained glass windows and a marble fireplace. Up to 40 guests can be accommodated.
There is full disabled access and an adapted WC on the ground floor.
The first floor Assembly Hall is the perfect venue for larger ceremonies and receptions. With its high ceilings, marble walls and a stage, its faded Edwardian grandeur offers a spectacular and unique setting. Several hundred guests can be easily accommodated for dinner and dancing.
Also on the first floor are three former Committee Rooms/Old Marriage Rooms.   The largest of the three, the Large Committee Room, seats around 75 guests in a room with high vaulted ceilings, two oak fireplaces and a feature stained glass window.
