After showcasing their talent and creative inspiration at the prestigious and highly competitive Square Meal Canape Cup, the Easy Gourmet team behind the mouth-watering winning dish has confirmed plans to brighten up private and corporate food.

Combining traditional techniques and exotic flavours with an eye for elegant, intriguing presentation has earned the brand an incredible reputation within the culinary industry. Off the back of their win, the gourmet gurus are branching out by making it possible for foodies everywhere the chance to sample their delectable canapes, whether they’re at their office desk or attending a prominent event.

Re-imaging ordinary ideas, the team behind the stunning Easy Gourmet dishes are culinary ateliers, taking customers on a gastronomic journey with an infusion of flavours from near and far. This signature flair for culinary creativity led the Easy Gourmet team to victory at the Square Meal Canape Cup 2017, one of the highest accolades within the hospitality industry.

Battling it out with 13 of London’s best caterers and restaurants, Easy Gourmet wowed the specially invited judges from the industry and hardened food critics with their delectable canape – Wildwood Festival. Using home grown, gluten-free ingredients saw Easy Gourmet setting the bar high and ultimately led to the much coveted canapé crown.

The winning creation saw melt-in-the-mouth organic beef fillet filled with a troop of wild mushrooms, crispy fried shallots, English butternut ring, truffle and balsamic caviar, all stacked atop a gluten free parmesan shortbread and paired with a dollhouse pint of Surrey gluten free pale ale.

Marie-Laure Preynat, Managing Director of Easy Gourmet, said, “We’re thrilled to have won the Square Meal Canape Cup against such tough competitors. It’s a testament to all the hard work that the Easy Gourmet team puts into every event we cater for and the truly innovative approach we take to crafting new, exciting dishes.”

Following the win, foodies can now order Easy Gourmet creations straight to their workplace thanks to the exclusive launch of The Moji Box. These clever, stackable boxes come packed with both savoury and sweet treats that promise to get diners salivating from first sight. Containing a chef’s selection of tasty foods which change on a daily basis, The Moji is ideal for a chic a desk meeting or slick director’s lunch.

Among the endless possibilities on offer for delivery is manchego and quince on pumpernickel black bread, tomato and pesto profiteroles, rare roasted beef on mushroom duxelle and truffle oil crostini, and tarte au citron meringue.

Lots of local people came to see what we are doing. the School Children had perform wonderful song… the Cooked, Served and cleaned what an achievement for those 12-14 years old kid… I have to say with my team it made our day very happy to see so much enthusiastic from young kids…

As you can see from some of the pictures below we put a lot of thought and planning into Jackie’s 1940’s themed birthday. The table was designed with vintage Cutlery and lace, twist glasses, and thyme.

The cake was made by the amazing Rosalind Miller. We researched into having cocktails that not only went with the menu, but suited well with Jackie’s theme. The 1940 cocktail’s we made were based predominantly on gin, rum, brandy or whiskey.

We also had the help from party designer Helen Wright who came up with a lot of really good idea’s, to match the flowers on the table, Jackie’s lipstick and the Birthday cake together in a bright orange.

Jackie wore a very stunning navy dress making it hard to believe she was celebrating her 50th birthday. The party Included an 1940’s styled band with a couple performances and lots of dancing as Jackie had hoped for when we first got in touch. Overall Jackie seemed more than pleased with how her party turned out.

The Menu-

Canapes

• Smoked Salmon and capers with dill tartar on rye bread.
• Baby jacket potatoes with mature béchamel cheddar and spring onions.
• Butternut and pesto with parmesan risotto balls
• Herbs shortbread toast of feta cheese tapenade, sun blush tomato

Starter

• Roasted plum tomatoes, fresh basil  tarte tatin served with fresh pesto and rocket  (Marie plate) children + extra for people who don’t like the other starer.
• Grilled fig with seasonal mix leave, walnut, orange with cabbage and rocket salad Feta cheese Main starter

Main course

• Lemon sole filet and spinach roulade served with fine champagne sauce served with and baby carrots with Bubble and squeak (more sauce).
• Sautéed gnocchi with butternut, asparagus, roasted pine nuts, and pesto drizzle) (children’s and vegetarian

Dessert

• Mini chocolate brownies (square) cream on the side
• Cream brullee
• Red fruit jelly
• Mini chocolate Mousse with gold sprinkles
• Mini Treacle tart
• Roasted pears with toasted almond in port syrup
