Tim & Julie’s wedding
Saturday 7 March 2015
At The Old church, Stoke Newington London
Wow, such an amazing Saturday at the Old Church venue. It was a pleasure to organize the wedding of Tim & Julie. The sun was shining after what’s been a very cold winter… It was a perfect date falling between saying good bye to the winter & hello to the Spring, 15 degree on 7th March… was such a treat.
In appreciation of this, everything began outside of the Old Church where carved ham & Champagne were served on guests’ arrival. The Old Church was set up with three long banqueting tables & on each of them the bride supplied different printed fabric which looked stunning, flowers were in jam jars & arranged by Julie’s friends prepared in an atmosphere of flower & nature. The wedding theme was a vintage style with lots of candles everywhere, amber lighting setting up, & mirror ball for dancing. It matched perfectly with the stunning Old Church.
This lovely wedding was very much DIY & every one helped. Julie & Tim carved themselves 100 wine & champagne corks for place name, design the menu for each guests, bride & mum of groom made the cake, friends decorated the venue with flowers, other friends were the photographer, the band was dad band.
Julie & Tim chose a relaxing atmosphere wedding starting by a chef carving ham for reception drinks followed by a Feast menu carved by the designated guests. The guests were wearing a tall chef hat & apron, & everyone loved it. After the main course the groom, bride & bride dad best man did their lovely speech from the pulpit which everybody just loved.. After the speech we top up the bubbles & served a sumptuous buffet of desserts.
The bride & groom mother made the gluten free chocolate wedding cake which went down a treat to every one
After that it was just history, music, dancing, drink were flowing, the bride did the honor to sing with her dad & their band… The moon was well up when the party finish & the bride & groom & guests happily made their home
