For over 27 years, Easy Gourmet has proudly called Tower Hamlets home. This year, we’ve continued to deepen our local partnerships and contribute to projects that uplift, empower, and connect those around us.
Honouring Tower Hamlets’ Foster and Kinship Carers
We were honoured to once again provide catering for the annual Tower Hamlets Foster Carers Gala Dinner, a heartfelt event organised by the Tower Hamlets local government. This celebration shines a light on the dedication and commitment of foster and kinship carers who open their homes and hearts to children in need of stability and love.
As highlighted by local media such as the East London Advertiser, the evening was a meaningful tribute to those who give so much to the borough’s young people. For us at Easy Gourmet, being part of this celebration for two consecutive years is both humbling and inspiring. It reminds us that good food has the power to bring people together in gratitude and community spirit.
Welcoming Apprentices from The Felix Project
In partnership with The Felix Project, we’re delighted to welcome two young apprentices into our kitchen and event teams. Through their Commis Chef Apprenticeship, these young individuals will gain hands-on experience and insight into the dynamic world of outside catering.
At Easy Gourmet, we’re passionate about sharing our craft — from the precision of kitchen preparation to the creativity of event design. We look forward to helping these apprentices grow their confidence, develop practical skills, and discover the joy of creating memorable food experiences that make a difference.
Supporting Mothers Returning to Work
After meeting with the team from WorkPath, Tower Hamlets Council’s employment and skills service, we knew it was time to contribute in a meaningful way. We’re launching a partnership that supports mothers returning to work after maternity leave by offering job placements within our organisation.
We understand that balancing work and family life can be challenging, which is why we’re providing flexible scheduling designed around childcare and family commitments. Our goal is to create opportunities for talented women to rejoin the workforce confidently, supported by a team that values their skills, experience, and resilience.
